COMMONWEALTH EDISON COMPANY'S TAKE THE PLEDGE GIVEAWAY

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN, NOR WILL A PURCHASE IMPROVE ONE'S CHANCES OF WINNING. OPEN ONLY TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF THE COMMONWEALTH EDISON SERVICE TERRITORY IN ILLINOIS WHO ARE 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER. VOID ELSEWHERE, AND WHERE PROHIBITED.

Eligibility/Entries: The Take the Pledge Giveaway is open to persons who are at least eighteen (18) years of age at the time of entry and legal residents of Commonwealth Edison "ComEd" service territory in Illinois. Employees of LKH&S (marketing firm), 54 West Hubbard Street, Chicago, Illinois, 60610, ComEd and its affiliates, and members of each of their immediate families (spouses, parents, grandparents, children and siblings, and their respective spouses) and those living in the same household of each are not eligible. Participation in the Giveaway constitutes entrant's full and unconditional agreement to, and acceptance of, these Official Rules. Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein. Giveaway begins at 09:00 am CDT on September 11, 2008, and ends at 11:59:59 PM CDT on May 3, 2009 (the "Giveaway Period").

To enter, go to www.ComEd.com during the Giveaway period, click on Take The ENERGY STAR® Pledge Now link and complete the ENERGY STAR Pledge form by indicating the energy saving behavior you wish to undertake and then entering your first name, e-mail address or phone number and ZIP code. In order for the electronic entry to be valid, entrants must click on the "Submit" button on the Web site. Entrants must provide a valid e-mail address or phone number to enter online. In the event of a dispute as to any entry, entries will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to the e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) which is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Proof of being the authorized account holder may be required. Online entries must be submitted by 11:59:59 PM CDT on May 3, 2009.

Or, to enter by mail, hand print your name, e-mail address, if you have one, street address, city, state, ZIP code, and daytime phone number on an approximately sized 3" x 5" card or piece of paper and, on the reverse side, indicate which of the energy saving behaviors below you wish to undertake and mail in an envelope to: "Take the Pledge Giveaway" Entries; c/o ComEd, Three Lincoln Centre, 2nd Floor Marketing, Cube #02SE015, Oakbrook Terrace, IL, 60181. To be eligible, each mail-in entry must be mailed in a separate envelope, and be postmarked by May 3, 2009. All entries become the property of Sponsor, and will not be returned or acknowledged. No photocopied or mechanically reproduced entries allowed.

Random Drawing: One (1) Grand, five (5) First and one hundred (100) Second Prize Winners will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries received on or about May 3, 2009. The drawing will be conducted by LKH&S, 54 West Hubbard Street, Chicago, Illinois, 60610, the judges of this Giveaway, whose decisions are final and binding on all matters relating to this Giveaway. Winners will be notified by phone and/or e-mail on or about May 8, 2009. One winning entry per household.
Prizes/Odds: Grand Prize (1): ENERGY STAR qualified appliance that you will select with the help of the ComEd Energy Doctor. ARV. $2,000. First Prize (5): Rugged mountain bikes. ARV. $250 each. Second Prize (100): Home energy efficiency kits from ComEd. ARV. $30 each. Total value of all prizes is $6,250. Odds of winning depend upon the total number of entries received.
Limitations of Liability: Sponsor and its agents are not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by entrants, printing errors, or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Giveaway. Lost, late, damaged, misdirected, illegible, incomplete, postage-due or mutilated entries by mail, any computer, online, telephone or technical malfunctions, delays or human errors that occur in the processing, transmission or receipt of entries, or for inaccurate transcription of entry information, or for entries that are stolen, misdirected, garbled, lost or delayed by computer transmissions or any injury or damage to persons or property, including but not limited to entrants' computers, hardware and/or software, which may be caused directly, or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrants' participation in the Giveaway or receipt, redemption or use of any prize. If, for any reason, the Giveaway is not capable of being conducted as planned, including but not limited to infection by computer viruses, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or other causes beyond the control of Sponsor, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Giveaway. Sponsor also reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual found to be violating these Official Rules or suspected of attempting to disrupt or defraud the entry process or the operation of the Giveaway, and Sponsor may prosecute or seek other legal redress against anyone suspected of engaging in these acts.
Prize Acceptance: Prizes are not transferable or assignable. No substitution or cash redemption allowed except by Sponsor, who may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if advertised prizes become unavailable. All taxes, including federal, state and local taxes, are the sole responsibility of winners who may be issued an IRS 1099 tax form (winners are advised to seek independent counsel regarding prize winnings). Winners will be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility/Release of Liability and Publicity (where permitted) within fourteen (14) days of notification. If a potential winner cannot be contacted within fourteen (14) days after the first attempt to contact the potential winner, if the potential winner does not sign and return the Affidavit of Eligibility/Release of Liability and Publicity (where permitted) in the required time period, or if a prize is returned as undeliverable, the prize will be deemed forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected from among all remaining eligible entries received. By accepting prizes, winners consent to use of name, state of residence and likeness for advertising and promotional purposes online and in print, or in any other media worldwide in connection with the Giveaway, without limitation and without additional compensation worldwide, except where prohibited by law. By accepting prizes, winners further agree to release Sponsor and its subsidiaries, affiliates and related companies and each of their respective officers, directors, employees and agents (the "Giveaway Parties"), from any and all liability, loss or damage of any kind arising out of or in connection with winners' participation in this Giveaway, or with respect to the awarding, receipt, possession, use and/or misuse of any prize.
Entrant's Personal Information: Information collected from entrants online is subject to Sponsor's privacy policy. In addition to any prize notifications, Sponsor may use an online entrant's name, address and e-mail address for future promotional and marketing purposes in accordance with its privacy policy.
